Massachusetts- It’s All Here!

Posted by admin on July 31st, 2008

ma.jpgThe Massachusetts state park system is one of the most contrasting and biggest state park organizations in the U.S. Massachusetts state park and other campgrounds offer some of the most beautiful scenery on the east coast, many with magnificent ocean views. Imagine waking up in your tent and popping your head out to the smell of the salty ocean air! Now that’s camping at its finest. Many Massachusetts campgrounds are natural habitats to many different kinds fo wildlife such as bobcats, bears and beavers as well as various wild and colorful birds.

The best times to camp does depend on personal preference in some aspects. What’s too hot for one person could be heaven for another. Temperatures from November to April range from 30?F to 50?F. May to September see average temperatures from 65?F to 79?F. The very hottest months are definitely June, July and August when camping outdoors can become uncomfortably hot. Early in spring and later in the fall the night time temperatures can drop significantly and become quite cold although the days are fairly warm and mild.
